Just like sports and food, music has the ability to bring strangers together in such a powerful way. It is also one of the best ways to unwind and let go. While all sorts of productions were paused last year, the music kept on coming. Whether you are a music lover or not, here are the best albums of 2020 to binge listen to right now at your L and O North Hollywood apartments for rent.

The Best Albums of 2020

It Is What It Is by Thundercat

If you have a thing for bass and you haven’t heard of Thundercat, allow us to introduce his 2020 album. Combining the sounds of funk and R&B, this record tells the tale of a recovering broken heart. Favorite L and O tracks include “How Sway” and “Black Qualls,” which features the very talented Childish Gambino.

The Slow Rush by Tame Impala

2020 was the return of Tame Impala, one of our favorite Indie bands of all time! Unlike their iconic psychedelic rock sounds, this record is a bit more pop-orientated. Highlight tracks include “On Track,” “Breathe Deeper,” and “Posthumous Forgiveness.”

Ungodly Hour by Chloe x Halle

A power duo if there ever was one, Chloe x Halle blessed us with true art. The record is filled with R&B ballads about all the issues you encounter as you enter adulthood. We get an intimate invite into the lives of these two talented young ladies, and may we say, it feels so good to relate.

Future Nostalgia by Dua Lipa

Up next we have what may be our favorite record of 2020. Who would have thought that disco could make a return? All it needed was the pop essence from Dua Lipa. It is the perfect homage to sounds of our past with a refreshingly contemporary twist. This record is flawless from top to bottom and will keep you dancing the entire time. Our favorite tracks here at L and O North Hollywood apartments include “Levitating,” “Pretty Please,” and “Love Again.”

RTJ4 by Run The Jewels

Heavy beats and a raw sense of humor are what made RTJ4 by Run The Jewels a favorite of ours. As always, the lyrics get very profound in songs like “Yankee and the Brave.” We would expect nothing less from Killer Mike and El-P.
