Romance is in the air! Even though your L and O North Hollywood apartments are not ready to host a romantic date night in LA just yet, we still want to make sure all the couples out there have the best Valentine’s Day ever.

Date Night in LA

Date Night in LA

Before we dine, we drink! There will be some great cocktail bars within our list of romantic restaurants but for those just looking to grab a drink on the LOVEliest day of the year, here are some of our favorite bars in LA for date night.

The Spare Room

First up we have an elegant, old-time cocktail lounge called the Spare Room. The Spare Room is no ordinary cocktail lounge. It includes a game parlor and bowling lanes. And did we mention it is located in the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel?

The Village

Hidden along Ventura Boulevard is our next bar the Village. Technically speaking the Village is a restaurant but we like coming here for the drinks in their study lounge or outdoor patio.

Some of you future L+O couples may not be that that big on romance. That is why we have included this list of casual bars near North Hollywood for a laid back date night in Los Angeles.

  • The One Up – First up we have an arcade bar in Sherman Oaks called The One Up. What is great about this arcade bar in LA is that the games are free and all from the ’80s. Speaking of the ’80s, there are a handful of TV screens around the bar playing old school films like the Goonies and Breakfast Club. The decor is just as fun as the games. The walls are filled with meme art and hovering above the bar is a bookshelf.
  • Idle Hour – A little more upscale than the arcade bar is Idle Hour and just a few minutes away from L+O apartments in North Hollywood. You know you have arrived at Idle Hour when you come across a big wine barrel. The inside is great but we love their outdoor patio area. It features the original Bulldog Café from 1928 and twinkle lights.

Romantic Restaurants

There is no shortage of romantic restaurants in North Hollywood.

Aroma Café

Along Tujunga Village is the most adorable, late-night café called Aroma Café. Featuring a variety of indoor and outdoor seating areas, you will feel at home with the decor resembling a small cottage. You have the option of dining under twinkling lights and orange trees or inside by a fireplace. They have great lattes and paninis, but we suggest digging into their freshly baked pastries.

Vitello’s

All our music lovers who love fine dining must celebrate Valentine’s Day at Vitello’s. It is right across the street from Aroma and serves contemporary Italian cuisine. Located just above Vitello’s is Feinsteins at Vitello’s, a supper club with live music all throughout the week. That is not all! Hidden behind Vitello’s is the Rendition Room, an exclusive speakeasy that transports you back to the golden age of Hollywood.

Firefly

Studio City keeps the date night restaurants coming with Firefly. Firefly starts out with its library lounge followed by the main dining area and outdoor patio. The dim lighting and cozy, home-like atmosphere and fireplace will make for a perfectly intimate Valentine’s Day dinner in North Hollywood.

Have a great Valentine’s Day everyone! For those who are single, have a great Singles Appreciation Day!
