If you’re looking for something beyond ice cream then Quenelle is your choice. With gourmet renditions of traditional flavors, Quenelle Ice Cream is an artisanal, hand-made, small-batch ice cream shop located between Burbank and Noho Arts District. Quenelle has created over 500 flavors of both traditional and exotics flavors, so you’ll find some unique flavors here you can’t find anywhere else. From cool treats to their famous mouth-watering funnel cakes and pies, Quenelle has everything you need to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Ice cream in Sherman Oaks
Menchies
Next on our list is Menchie’s located on Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks. With up to 36 flavors of non-fat and low-fat frozen yogurt that rotates daily and 50+ toppings of fruits, syrup, sauces, candies, and chocolates, you can spend hours trying different combinations. You can’t go wrong with cake batter and red velvet flavors. If possible, you may want to walk to this location as parking is a bit of a challenge.
Sonny’s Amazing Italian Ices & Creme
Next on our list is a locally owned and operated shop in Sherman Oaks called Sonny’s Amazing Italian Ices & Crème. This creamery breaks their menu down into three categories, traditional ice cream, Italian ice, and creme ice. Crème Ice is 75% less dairy but with the same flavor as traditional ice cream without the guilt. Sonny’s also offers vegan and gluten-free options.
Ice cream in Studio City
Salt & Straw Ice Cream
If you’re looking to try unique and exotic flavors, then you must stop by Salt & Straw located in Studio City. With many locations, this Portland-based craft creamery is not your average scoop. With seasonal flavors such as Sweet Potato Casserole with Maple Pecans, Salted Caramel Thanksgiving Turkey and Spiced Goat Cheese & Pumpkin Pie, you’ll be sure to get into the holiday spirit in no time. The best part of Salt & Straw is that for $10, guests can order an ice cream flight including your choice of four flavors from both classic and seasonal menus.
Fatamorgana Gelato
Experience a taste of Italy at one of Italy’s most famous dessert shops, Gelateria Fatamorgana. Located in Studio City, Fatamorgana is known for its vast menu of over 60 flavors, including more than two dozen vegan options. Fatamorgana even offers dog-friendly gelato treats for your furry friend. From familiar flavors like hazelnut and chocolate to more experimental flavors such as black rice/rose, it will leave you coming back for more.
