Groundwork Coffee Co.
Groundwork Coffee Co. is one of those shops that should ring a bell. However, for those who have not heard, Groundwork Coffee Co. is a great boutique chain. Lucky for all of you L+O neighbors, you have one just around the corner from your North Hollywood boutique apartment home. Unlike the other Groundworks, this one is built within the Historic Train Depot as part of the restoration of the State Historic Landmark Building. This coffee shop is one of those NoHo spots where you can sit back and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. That includes their delicious coffee. We highly suggest the Spiced Chai or the Horchata Cold Brew.
Republic of Pie
Don’t be fooled by the name because Republic of Pie is stirring up some delicious coffee. Additionally, you can expect freshly-prepared baked sweet and savory pies here first thing in the morning. We cannot resist a slice of their deep-dish apple pie. Their playful menu also includes fruity pebbles french toast and breakfast mac and cheese. Can you say, delicious?! But back to the coffee! At Republic of Pie, we suggest trying out the Nutella Latte or their Chai Tea Latte.

Teapop
Up next is one of our favorite spots, Teapop. While they do have coffee, Teapop is known for their tea. Best of all, they have boba! Our favorite warm drink on the menu has to be their London Fog. As far as cold teas go, the peach oolong is outstanding and so is the jasmine tea with almond milk. For the jasmine tea, we highly suggest adding in boba pearls. The peach oolong is great on its own or with leechee. Aside from their eclectic menu, what we love most about Teapop is the community and hours! It is open until 9 PM and 11 PM during the summer. From the artwork for sale from local artists hanging on the walls to the adorable outdoor patio featuring occasional movie nights and comedy nights, Teapop may just become your home away from home.
M Street Coffee
Along Moorpark just outside of Sherman Oaks is a hidden coffee shop called M Street Coffee. The M Street menu takes things to a whole other level with their fruit smoothies. That especially goes for the Peach Pear Apricot smoothie which you can compliment with an immune boost, rice protein, and much more. Back to the coffee. They have a great Americano and Nitro Cold Brew.
Alfred Coffee
We cannot leave out all the coffee shops in Studio City! Take for instance Alfred Coffee. Easily the most aesthetically pleasing coffee shop on this list, no matter what you order, it will be totally Instagram worthy. The vanilla latte is a top seller and is best complemented by one of their pastries. We also love their scones.
Coffee Shops in North Hollywood: Coffee Fix
Speaking of Instagrammable coffee shops, Coffee Fix is another adorable coffee shop in Studio City with beautiful floral wallpaper, perfect for that IG photo backdrop. They also have a great selection of sandwiches, pastries, and bagels. As far as the coffee goes, we love their house blend with caramel.
Bluestone Lane
Another boutique coffee shop chain on this list is Bluestone Lane. Our favorite brews on their menu would have to be their Ice Chai Latte or the Flat White Coffee. If you are hungry, you cannot go wrong with their avocado toast. If you choose to order the avocado toast, be sure to include an egg on top for a few extra bucks.
Along with outstanding coffee, the one thing all these shops have in common is a strong, very talented and artistic community. Now, take your pick and enjoy!
